Coach Matt Robinson. Matt has been the Owner/Director of Athlete's Quest since 2006 and has been involved with training athletes since 1999. Matt has always followed his love of sports, from playing Pop-Warner football as a youth to participating in high school wrestling, football and water polo as he grew up. Following his passion eventually lead him to coaching various successful high school and youth programs around the Southern California area. Matt has always enjoyed working with kids, so while coaching he also worked with children in before and after school programs in the city where he grew up. While with youth sports, he began to see a need for supplemental speed and strength training outside of the normal practice regimen for youth athletes of all ages. It is at this time that he decided to combine his passions for coaching sports and teaching kids, alongside friend and mentor John Davis, to create Athele's Quest. In 2002 Athlete's Quest was off and running. Since then, Matt has trained many different types of athletes from all ages and abilities ranging from 6 years of age all the way up to the professional ranks. Matt is always striving to keep Athlete's Quest operating at the highest possible level. So besides attending countless numbers of training courses and seminars to further his knowledge and education, he holds certifications from USA Weightlifting as a Sports Performance Coach and by NSCA for completing their Fly Solo Program, which is specifically designed for performance training of young athletes. |
